just out of curiosity, since a f-series manifold has the same 0-00-0 flange pattern as a A-series, would a f-series work with a bit of help? or would it make more sense to just cut the flange off and weld a A-series flange in its place?

Well here is the reality.
only way it's worth a try is if you already have the F22 manifold and don't mind hacking it up, a lot.
however you still need to consider that those mismatched ports are going to cause flow issues in the manifold.
so it's not worth it.
not even enough bolt holes to secure or enough meat on a flange made to the f-series stock gasket size to drill new mounting holes.
The port size is something I had expected to be larger due to the displacement being higher. It is much larger then expected though, the port is 1 X's as tall as ours but about 1.5 X's wider.
The port spacing is pretty good in my opinion. especially for the two center ports. The outer ports will require a little more work, but the entire manifold will need to be hacked up and welded.
Accord 1997 F22 2.2 liter EX Accord --- Fel-Pro Header Gasket : MS 95535 --- $34.00
The actual number stamped on the gasket is : 94184
* Thank god it was a complete 1 piece gasket and not the 3 piece gasket set that the A20 comes with.
It says on the back that these are the same:
- F22B1
- F22B2
- F22B6
- Engine : 2.2l , 2156cc
- 1994 - 1997 Accord

- F23A1
- F23A4
- F23A5
- Engine : 2.3l , 2254cc
- 1998 - 2002 Accord
Cutting off the F series flange and welding on an A series will be better because you have proper mounting holes but still have flow and alignment issues.
You could cut the manifold between 1&2 and 3&4 and weld it back together to have a closer match but all that work is silly because you're going to need to weld anyways, might as well build one from scratch and use a solid A20 Flange and pipe instead of a hacked up F22 with mismatch ports that would need to be filled in some how so it doesn't leak.
This is about as good as I can get it, to show you a port size comparison.
A20 Ports are the white inner circle
F22 Ports have been turned 90* and are the outer white ring.

too much work, B swap..
like modify a B-series manifold?
NO like complete engine swap.
engine swap is alot of headaches too...new wires, new mounts, new motor....alot of b-series engines have way too much miles...this one guy was selling a gsr for 1200 but the motor had 200k miles.
best bet is to rebuild the stock motor
