i need help !!!!

i was driving and the car and it just died i turn the key and nothing the windows wont go up and none of the lights on the dash don't turn on either but the headlights and hazards work don't know what it could be..

Start checking fuses.

fuses are good and ignition coil i was thinking ignition switch but what to be sure b4 i buy it..

ground or battery cables perhaps

I'm not so sure about your ignition, because you told us your car had no power to the windows as well... so it's probably a fuse, wire, battery...

Main fuse or ground is my bet too. clean your battery post,check it again,check the main 70amp fuse in you fuse box under the hood,try hooking jumper cables to neg on battery then to block some where, check again. post back

Can you turn anything on? horn, lights,wipers?

the lights, horn, and hazards work but that's it. the lights on the dash nothing don't turn on and the engine wont even turn over i thinks its a ground but finding the ground is the problem..

I think it's NOT a ground because you have too many circuits that aren't working. All of those circuits are not on one single ground. If the fuses under the hood are ok then I would look at the ignition switch. See if you can take the covers off the steering column and get a good look at the switch.

yea man i bought a brand new main fuse and good to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but when i hit the brakes all my lights on the dash turn on

thoase big main fuses are weird cause sometimes when the blow you cant see whether they have a gap or not so you think thery are good lol.
