    Honda put chrome where?

    My paint is pealing on my window trim, it has exposed shiney chrome undernieth,so i peeled off loose pieces and am using paint stripper to lift the rest. Anyone else seen this?

    yeah mines almost chipping real bad. Its hard to get it all off the cuz its so thick
    ACT Stage 1, Short Ram Intake & 2.25 Dynomax custom catback w/4inch carbon fiber tip. Thats it for now.

    did you try paint stripper?I just bought some but havn't tryed it yet.hope it dosn't tarnish chrome.

    mine must be more beat up then yours its not even bonded to the chrome its connected in little thick peice on the sides . The paint thinner wont help. The only way i can get it of is to take a pair of pliers to those peices and RIP them out. Thanks for the info though

    Same here. Everytime I wash my car I pull more and more off. Paint thinner isn't going to do anything. On mine its is only connected at the bottom of the strip. 4 to 5 inch peices just flake off when washing. I think paint thinner may tarnish it. Its also happening to the back window on the top. That part looks like shit.

    Its not chrome its stainless steel like most all trim is make of.

    I would just paint it black or use some black-out tape as another member suggested a while back. If not, you will end up with some chrome stuff and some blac stuff. Parts of the trim are either black plastic or painted so even if you get all the rubberized coating peeled off it will still look funky.

    i said paint stripper not thinner.the parts allready look like shit so i have nothing to lose,i can always repaint black.last night i painted all my body moldings,looks great,used plasticote black molding & trim paint(flexible).no camera for pics(yet).

    true, the only parts i have in chrome are rear window lower trims,back window trim,and lower front door window trim
