so do you still need some of that leather? I used to do some upholstery, and I'm sure I have some black top-grain leather hanging around.

Very cool project btw. What are those 3 switches for in the 2nd half of the console just ahead of the ebrake.

I just got some of the stretchable fake leather at work today, found a scrap big enough, the stuff costs more per yard then the real stuff, but it's a lot eaisier to work with on stuff like this. the switches are, the battery/alternator switch lets me turn on the radio without the key, or the bass on and off, controls the remote lead, the anti collision light switch controls my anti collision lights in the rear quarters, aircraft wing tip lights, and the fuel boost pump is for the fuel boost pump.

I ended up machining my own light holder, I was going to use one like the one above the stereo, but it wasn't bright enough. I had to machine compound complex angles into the piece to get it to aim right on the angle of the front of the console.

theres an aircraft panel post light for the switches, but it keeps shorting out,so i had to disconnect it, might put an led in it, the strange thing is they short out in the planes too, which can take out all your panel lighting, think it would be redesigned? nope.
