So the question is? Or is this just to inform us?

Make sure you do it right so you won't waste money. By all means follow the torque procedure in the shop manual.

To have more compression you can use a thinner gasket, but I personally wouldn't on a stock engine.

MMM chocolate milk. Keep up the work and keep us updated. Looks like you will have to do lots of coolant flushes.

Bars leak is my diagnosis for your head gasket blowing. What was leaking that you had to use bars leak?

These head gaskets don't go that easily.

the head gasket blew back a few months ago could not afford to fix it and it was the only car at the time so i could not have it down for a few weeks so i used the bars leak it worked up untill now but i noticed it pluged up some of the coolant passages that i had to clean out

    Re: head gasket

Yeah, coolant blew into the oil. Clean all the carbon off them valves before you install the head. Clean that coolant out real good & flush the oil out the pan with some seafoam. Be careful not to nick the aluminum head to bad with a razor. I would straight edge that head & make sure their is not cracks in it. Shops do a magni-flux for cracks, but cost money. Not trying to tell you what to do, but a few tips I thought I'd throw in there.
I'm not so sure about them ebay head gaskets, it says graphite, but I trust Fel-pro myself. Anyhow, good luck with it.
