i think its time to do a mod change just on the inactive ones like the ones that come on once a month


times change and so do people schedules change they loose interest in the car and community we really need some people here that are on every day and can clean stuff up faster im not nom mysekf but i would accept if offered

Yes there are some old days mod types that are pretty dormant , but then once in a while they will come about.
Problem with that is they couldn't possibly be owning up to their titles.

I was glad to see those like Markmdzhatch come back with entheusiasm about their cars and do things to create knowledgebase.

i agree and thats why the mods like sabz and such are fine they keep there section clear but some of the others need to be reassign to the north pole lol

Honestly i think this forum is just fine the way it is. Theres no excessive anything really, slight bit of postwhoring in every section but its not too bad. We have a great car community, plenty of information to be read through, but no abuse to be spoken of at all. We do have some inactive mods, but what forum doesnt?

ha ha yes and some of the most experienced old days members check in a lot more than one would think but just don't feel inclined to post. I somewhat agree with 2drSE-i in that this is a fairly well mannered forum compared to others, and things "operate" fine. However, it would be great to "mix it up" a bit. That could add even more interesting charactor and promote some intelectual growth to the forum. There are some certain long time members around that give a sh*t about the board and would be good candidates for such a move.
I personally enjoy those that work on stickys like Carotman, A20A1, Markmdzhatch, Bob, Alex, John, man I hate to leave anybody out....

hit the nail on the head with that one. Im on here a ton just skulking around like a petophile at summer camp. I just rarely post because usually there isn't much info to add that isnt all over the place on this forum. Now when its something new, im all over it :-)

Well I should not really add anything to this but: customs street race thread got trolled up pretty good. Now it was posted in the wrong forum and has been modded and fixed but its been said. The HHO thread turned into the usually epeen name calling. Again thread should hav been in the R+D section to start with. could have helped keep the west coast no it alls from tramping it up now the guy won't post back. The thread sticky about running spark plugs because of the new gas totally totally unfounded could cause potential engine damage running the wrong temp spark plug. I pretty much stay out of the turbo threads mostly trash from people who blew up there motors 3 and 4 times over or bought some stuff from sean and got scammed. EFI section could use a sticky about the Main relay being the number one reason for a no start condition on these cars. Duddec wrote up several things on motor rebuilding that have gotten buried. The search apparently does not work that well so yelling search to every new guy that comes along does not help the problem I am afraid. 3-4 habitual people "selling" something and then pulling the old "aliens " got me and my wallet and your money too but send me more money and ill send your stuff out when UPS starts doing pickups in prision.

but non of that is why i posted this thread while the custom thread was going i decided to look at the mods for the section one was vinnie whos last post was dec of 2007 and steave dx how was last on on the 3rd not saying these guys arent doing there job but its nice to see the mods active on the fourm makes it fill a bit safer knowing you can contact someone and get a reply back with a few hours and not wait and wait

Old Blue Accord, Ghetto, I missed the Custom thread I guess.. have to go back to see that. I hinted to him about carolinahondas.com there is where he needs to be they have a piedmont dragway section, thug section etc.

Anyway Old Blue the HHO thread got trampled on by the midwest guy, he just has tourettes of the typing and goes to insult members personally instead of their "theory" for lack of a better word.. heh
You are also absolutley correct there should have been stickys made in EFI a long time ago, and there is great info buried. The search function works fine for me, I use advanced search and think up combinations of words searching thread title only. Of couse as with any forum the title has to have a topic word in it so "hey guess what" ie would never show up.
There needs to be more initiative to construct the knowledgebase in each tech section and we just have not had a mod that is consistant. Really only two I know of in 3gen that have put up the effort honestly. Carb tech and B20 swap.
