i actually bought those blue plates and tried to have them re-issued for the car since they are "time correct" but the bastards wouldnt do it.. i like the blue plates way better too, i forgot my 10mm socket when i took the pics to swap em out!!.. as far as the lancaster frame goes, i bought it at a local swapmeet for 1 dollar, i liked it bcus it was metal and kinda oldschool looking.

Man that's so lame they won't let you use the old plates on an old car. Not reflective enough for the police Lidar systems to get a good reading. Not that my 1g can even break 100mph. Yours might with it being lowered and the smaller diameter tires.

i always loved the american license plates. i found the always having a real cool factor. the black and white malaysian plate is well, black and white..... i had a friend in school back in 1999 who's dad drove a LHD jeep... it had some cool US plates. i really wanted them so bad but he refused to part with it..... :-(

I like them too, but then they prefer black plates like us. I guess grass is always greener on the other side..

Yeah, I love how you guys can run those long, skinny plates on the front. We're stuck with those huge-ass rectangular plates that we have to ugly up the front of the car with. They hang so low down over the bumper. I don't really care what the plate looks like, just would like it to match the lines of the car a bit. Like how yours, on the front bumper is long and skinny. I want that!!! Look how out of place ours look:

Nah, it's a little more deal-able on the 1g since it's bone stock. I don't run one on the 2g at all, as I've lowered it and put nice wheels on it. Kinda helps keep it clean looking. Front plate REALLY looks bad on that car... I'll have to fill in the holes on the bumper one of these days too.

No it's not optional in my state. Some states don't even get front plates. We're required to have them, but I chance it. Only gotten one ticket for it so far. The cop was an asshole on revenue duty though. Never had a cool cop who has pulled me over ever care.
