i still have my volks i took them off to take apart and restore =) i havent lowered the car more if anything the rear might be a little higher. one of my cut stock springs on the rear snapped (i only had about 2 coils for susp) so i played with different springs in the rear to find one that would work. the spring thats in it now has roughly 4.5 coils at the height it is now, has loads more travel, and the rear ride quality is incredible. im still working on finding a spring that will work in the front that will increase travel and allow me to lower the car more. cant wait to ditch the cut stock springs in the front! (i believe it has close to 3 coils now). once i figure out a front spring im going to lower it another 1-1.5, replace the struts with some new kyb's i have, put my volks back on and kiss those rediculously bouncey cut spring days good bye!!
if your really interested in some 80-81 tails lmk, if you can find me some clean older style tails like yours im sure we could work somthing out.

Keep us updated with the springs. I have since chopped my springs even more and I'm starting to get sick of the bounce and I'm not even close to your lowerness (N) I'm interested with the tails if the price is right!

I've been looking for USDM tails man. I haven't seen a 1gee at the wreckers forever. sedans are more rare here than hatches. Can't say I've ever seen a sedan here at all.
I really doubt I could find mint older style tails here. Don't you guys have them over there too? I bet you could find one in mint condition. lmk if you find a set of 81 tails!
