    Re: It's Toast

hey now I pmed him before the rest of you for the headers. if i remember correctly though he sold it on ebay for dirt because it was modified. Im thinking we b20a owners should start setting realistic dibs on parts and see if he can get rid of all of it for what hes asking. list up everything seperatly and lets see

duz anyone want me to get a price on headers for b20a?
find the thread on my car to have looksee on what they are like.
sure they for poolude b20 but need only mod to the pipe off the collector and weld the o2 sensor nut on and either lose or get the aircon hp line remade.
if anyone does want a price, pm me and will go find out.
by the way, mine are 4-1 mandrel bent with 2 1/4 collector altho 2 1/2 is available.

does your 4-1's make your engine sound like a subaru? m,y mates b20b integra sounds like its got a constant missfire with his b series 4-1 headers

i really want some 4-2-1's for my car as i need to make mid power as thats where the b20a pwns all other engines.

one day ill get a tuned set made specific for my b20a, should only cost $200 to get made up at an exhaust shop

    Re: It's Toast

nah it sounds sweet as eh.
had a wee bit of a rasp at times, sorta like that horrid toyota rasp but i added a res and it made it just bout go away.so it has a coby where cat was and a pretty much straight thru rear muffler.
i dont think the b20a needs mid range, more like it needs top end.
with the headers and the full exhaust, it hauls all the way to redline with no drop off in power that you can feel with the s,o,p dyno.

    Re: It's Toast

lol its an old joke, about b20a5 engines sucking in general cause 3g ludes are slow as.
not mocking yours as they no longer fit a b20a5/3 etc hahahaha

i think im just going to design my own headers like alex says. so i can make power where i need it not above or below like using a header off another motor. that makes power in different areas

Your motors a blacktop, nearly the same as a b20a5 so maybe they will help you out, but my gold top makes power higher in the revs than a blacktop..well it will when it gets rebuilt.. lol

    Re: It's Toast

dunno whats been wrong with black tops you've owned aaron but mine makes the best of its power above 5grand, thats prob due to the secondary butterflies opening tho.
have never driven anything with a gold top so cant really comment on them other than i never had probs beating up 2g pooludes or da vtec tegs either for that matter. and would even be as bold to say that it'd be quicker than my 5g sir . will have to have a kiwi get together when i have the girl going and see what just what the diff is eh nudge nudge wink wink

that smokey blacktop i had was great for 200kms pulled hard from 4k right to the revlimiter, that was all the single runner b16a2 intake manifolds doing it, then it got smokeyer and slow and gay

i tow a lot of shit with my car so thats why i dont wanna steal all its low end. my other b20a 5 speed gold top can pull itself a 740kg car trailer and a crx up a mountain in 3rd gear at 4000rpm. i want to keep that ability haha

im not mocking your blacktop. to be honest i cant notice a difference between the speed of a gold top vs a blacktop.
