hi, i was just thinking of chopping a coil off the OEM springs in my car. i then remembered that my friend's ferio had his springs compressed instead of cut. they used some angular piece of metal box shaped with an opening enough to hold about 2.5 springs tightly in place but not enough for it to come off. then they used a heavy duty vice to compress the spring and slip the the metal box (i have no idea wat to call it but it looks like a man made un adjustable vice) between the last two springs and u have lowered springs. it seems simple and the best part is that its reversible. it would get an effect equivalent to that of chopping the springs by a coil or so. however i doubt i would encourage this method for anyone wanting more than a 3cm drop in height. i wanted to know if anyone had done this? any other details or pointers would help as i am planning to do this to my car....
