    whats makes a stereo from a different car compatible with another car?

    If it's made in a normal DIN size then it's compatible.

    If you have wiring diagrams for both then you can just make a harness.

    both said like your speaking hungarian to me...so if i get the wiring diagram and match the wires to each other like power to power and ground to ground ect ect ect then maybe it would work?

    first off pritty much any honda radio up to 97 will plug in as long as it fits in the hole 2nd just go geta cheap deck gona be cheaper then a stock deck out of anythign

    theres a sticky somewere around here that i did that has a list i was trying to get it for you the other day but the fourms was messing up on me ill look again

    i seen the thread already im just curious how it is compatible... will a 00 civic fit in a 93 geo?

    i don't know, but you would have to make sure that the radio fits in the existing opening and just wire the harness together like ground to ground, power to power, left speaker to left and etc.

    but as far as the 3rd gens go that list is of computable stereos as far as the harness goes


    there really isent any ones that will work for any car beside and aftermarket

    chevy has there on plug honda has theres so forth so on

    well what makes a 98 fit into our cars but not a 00... yea i know the plugs wont fit into each other but what if you cut the plug off and straight up wire each and every wires together
