yeah, notice the free time in NZ is longer than in the States.. those guys have and engine swapped in an afternoon, wire harness all over the grass, parts strowed everyplace and the car is all together in a matter of a few days.

yes it does i wonder if i can find another whole bonnet to replace it, if not then i'll just attempt some hory body work to fix it lol. i just done a compression test on the a20 that came out of there here's the results:

#1 - 40psi
#2 - 160psi
#3 - 80psi
#4 - 35-40psi

i'm surprised the thing even ran lol, no wonder why it stalled going up the slightest hill. i wonder whats broken, hope the bottom end is still okay

Try that dry ice dent removal thinggy. Don't know how well it would work, but worth a shot if you're getting it replaced anyway.

just took it for its first drive today goes hard (as it should), blew a fuck load of blue smoke under stress though, dunno why that is. i just checked the oil level and its about 2-3mm above the 'full' mark, could it be that i have too much oil in there & its burning it off causing the smoke?? i know the compression on the engine is mint. ive only added oil once and that was a couple months ago, cause it wasted alot of oil out the rocker cover, but i havent had any problems till i stuck the engine into this car, and all of a sudden it has more oil than it should?!?! weird

running to much oil is just bout as bad as not enuff
the crank will drag in it and throw it absolutely every fn where
up the bores,at the pcv, can end up comin out the crank seals
havnt found that dizzy yet.
but still have much junk to sort yet

thought so, wonder why it only decided to show it has too much now instead of 2 months ago?!?! oh well its way over due for a oil change, ill buy one whenever i get some spare money. i dont think ill be needing the dizzy anymore, well noit untill my hory one falls apart lol

I wouldn't think 2-3mm above the full mark would do anything. Ive had it that full on my engines before and nothing bad happened.

I wonder if maybe the valve stem seals are bad?
