i got bored last night so i made me a obd1 conversion harness. i still need to heat shrink it though cause i couldn't find my heat shrink tubing.

it works though, no error codes, although it doesn't run all that great. i'll put my f-series dizzy back in it to see if it makes it run better. for some reason, its "vtec" kicks in at like 2500rpm???????

Did you use shielded wires for the o2/dizzy wires? If not your probably getting interference, causing the VTEC feeling lol.

are they really necessary? the wires are only about 6 inches long. by the vtec kicking in at 2500rpm (around there somewhere anyway), i mean that's when it sends power to the vtec solenoid (which in my case was an alarm siren, that screamed in my face every time i go over those revs) does it really kick in that early on f22s? other than that, it runs great from over 3000rpm lol

okay so i cleaned up teh motor today, lucky me just happened to find a can of degreaser lying around. that helped some. i also put on a new cambelt too. pix






i need a shorter starter motor bolt, egr pipe, those throttle body coolant hoses & maybe find the missing half shaft bolt. i'll give it another wash when i install it, and of course, swap that rocker cover

well its in the gearbox & bolted to the block, so yes, it is

i found my heat shrink tubing, so i remade my obd1 conversion harness. only problem was the heat shrink tubing doesn't shrink small enough on the B & C plugs, but it still done a good enough job on them. here's the finished item
