Hard Start (did everything I know)

My car takes time to start now that I changed my head and headers. The Computer is throwing code 06 Coolant temp sensor. I changed it out and its still there. I unplugged the battery to reset and the code came back. The wires and harnesess were bypassed to see if that worked but to no avail. What could it be. I read somewhere that it could be a dirty filter to throw that code as well but how can that be? I dont know what to do please advise.

Air can get in your coolant and lines, causing a fluctuating reading for your thermostat and sensors. It can make your car act a lot weirder than you would think something so simple would.

    Here is the writeup.

Anytime you open the cooling system except for the radiator cap you introduce air into the sytem. To bleed it, use the bleed screw on the thermostat housing AND allow coolant to run out of the radiator cap. Take the cap off, start the engine and let it warm up. Once the coolant level rises, put the cap back on.

ok i just did it and the light went off. Hmm But it stil starts a little funny! it takes a few turns. Could that now be my distributer needs to turn forward or backward. I replace the head so everything might need a little adjusting.

    Thanks guys!!

Definitely check the timing, but otherwise you should give the computer time to adjust to all the changes. It will get better over time.
