Look different to the Factory accessory over-riders (as on Hazwan's car), which bolt through the existing bumper mountings without the need to drill big holes in the bumper.

    Re: honda accesary or aftermarket???

oh yes... rather timely this thread got posted i think (inside joke between hazwan and I) anyway, i have seen a few cars in cardomain.com having the front bullbars/ bumper bars/ overriders. and i have also seen this part in a couple of cars in malaysia as well. however, i have yet to see the rear bumper overrider of such a look. did the last picture indicate, the one with the two bars on a table, indicate that you actually bought the bars?? hehe... also, i have been looking for overriders for my car for a long while now. a few cars in malaysia still have the part in resonable niche. most of the cars would be mint, but have slightly tattered over-riders. i think it must be due to the fact that it would be the first to take the blow in the event of an impact. i had a friend who re-chromed his over-riders as they were dented and rusted as well. anyway, if it is true that you did buy it, do take some pics of them on your car. it would be nice to see how it looks on your car.

also, i would kill to get these over-riders. they look real clean and real cool!!!....wikipedia..

    hehe....nice colour too, reminds me of somebody's car...wonder who....???..lol..

I've seen that EXACT front bumper bar at the wrecking yard up here. I don't know what the deal is with them though. I decided against grabbing it.

tat bad? knowing how your dad n you keep your cars, i doubt it... very nice number though. i wonder why your dad sold it. also, i wonder whether that over-rider was aftermarket or a dealership accesory. i have only seen that version of overrider around 2 or 3 times in malaysia.

    Re: honda accesary or aftermarket???

They are called Bumper Over Riders. None of them are factory, they are all Honda Dealer Accessory items that could be added once the car reached the show rooms. Like the first gen A/C units there were several different suppliers so many were different depending on where one lives.

I like that early blue first gen....thats an early one by the loook of those bumpers, 73 or 74.
