so all this power and your running a stock bottom end with afftermarket rings? Impressive to say the least. Ive been looking for pistons, rods this whole time just to run a T3. Maybe Ill toss it in like rob says and run it. Sweet man it still looks good.

Did you get a proper wastegate in the meantime?

I say that because its cheaper to mess around with a stock block than a built one. Boosted B20A's have not been around all that long and thus far have been pretty experimental between myself, Adam, and Twoloudnproud. But fortunately for those guys they never blew up a set of $500 pistons not including rings/machine work. I damaged 3 sets of pistons one set was completely my fault when i sandblasted my intake manifold for powder coat and blasting media was stuck in the EGR port and it wiped out my first B20A on start up. My second block starting knocking after a boost spike, and the third had rings not intended for boost but was raceengineerings mistake so my motor blew smoke early on and so i abused it knowing it was coming apart once again.

So with that said im no pro at this but fluke things happen. I think i might have my piston skirts coated this time around because the last two sets scored after boost spikes.

So here are a few pointers:
Don't use 81mm pistons because no one makes rings meant for boost.
Don't boost with a faulty boost controller, wastegate, etc.
Make sure your motor is tuned well.

To date i think the strongest comparable old B20A running high boost and that held up well has been TonyBaker on preludepower. My setup was/is fairly similar to his so im hoping my setup performs/last as well as his this time around.
