If you want a car that's easy to turbo, get a civic.

It will cost you a lot of money and time to do it to your accord.

If you're hell-bent on actually going through with it, buy another car to drive in the mean time.

the only way u can make your shit from blowing up is just the safc and btm and your still at risk of blowing your shit up....Thats why im doing 6 maybe 8lbs and im getting wideband....Either way man like the saying says if u want to play you gonna pay lol....Just start getting shit together...the last thing u want is the fucker to blow when u at full boost lol....So no your not going to spend Under a grand unless you got someone that sold u the kit and you would still have to get managment ,and All i really doubt that would happen either.

Alright, well I got the answer, no turbo... Might just build up the engine and have a reliable NA engine.

yeah, i understand that, just more than a grand, for what I'm looking to do, really isn't worth it.

i never really favored the turbo for our cars mainly because of our trans... if u could get better gear ratio ( longer gears ) then i wouldnt mind doing the turbo myself. the short gears on our car reallllllyyy get to me especialy with our high clutch. if u drive like me it almost lookes like your stomping your floor board b.c u have to lift your leg up sooo high

    Re: Turbo'ed A20A3- A few questions.

you can run a btm and safc to 10-12psi but i wouldnt reccomend going over 10 ish psi with that setup, its just too sketchy. You could do it with mitsubishi 450cc injectors. I strongly reccomend an intercooler. 200whp is easy with even a junkyard T3 turbo, a t3 t4 would be out of its efficiency range for low boost on this motor anyway. My old .60/.63 was a nice unit. Id say you could do it for a grand ONLY if you have hookups for parts AND know how to weld/fab your own stuff. If not, its gonna cost many times more than that.

If i do this, its going to have an intercooler.... got a link to the btm, safc, and the mits 450cc injectors? I wouldn 't mind still going threw with this, just finding the right stuff to do this. Like I said, never done this before.

    Re: Turbo'ed A20A3- A few questions.

Another thing to remember is tuning. Depending on who you know, where you are it will run you another 300-450.

I think even with tuning and lucking out on parts you could do it for 1800. Thats by not skimping on management. At the very least youd have to have alectronic timing control either and obd1 ecu thats chipable or Hondata and mitsu injectors and a walbro.

Then the turbo mani and and misc accesories get used(but in good working condition) and you should be alright.

If you blow your engine your screwed. if you blow a cheap turbo, not so much. Plus if this is your only means of transportation Id really consider making plans to ride the bus etc.

I've got this, and I've got a Silverado... This just gets way bnetter gas, so if I do this, its going to be over the winter months.

i like T3's like .42/.48 and .60/.48 or 60/63's because they are cheap and easy to find and you can easily upgrade to a t3/t4 if needed
