    cracked head...

    anyone kno how to get to the nuts and bolts underneath the intake mani? and which head i should use? a20 or replace stock?

    Can't use an A20 head. Only options for Non-CVCC heads are to go to Canada. You can run the ES1 head, which is a dual carb head, but it's basically like having to deal with two of the stock carbs. The easiest way to get those bolts off is to pull the water pump, and pull that tube out from behind the block. Then you have to use various wrenches, sockets, extensions, universal joints, etc for each bolt.

    If you're replacing the head. Just leave the intake manifold bolted to it when you pull the head off. That's the most common, and easiest solution. Don't forget to undo the support bracket from the IM to the block.

    i thought 85 hatches had the es2(which is a cvcc motor if im not mistaken)
