    valve cover(please help)

    i have a ?. For u guyz.I bought a powder coated valve cover awhile back and on the inside there is a metal plate covering of a maze of tunnels that conect to the hose coming out of valve cover.on the 1 I bought the metal plate is gone will it hurt to run without the plate?

    the baffle isnt necessary, but i would definitely suggest installing it in your new cover. its there to prevent any oil from getting splashed up into the breather system. hot rod guys use a circular insert baffle in the breather port since most domestic valve covers dont have the baffle tray. you might be able to retrofit one, but personally i would install the baffle from your old cover because its designed to work with our cars.

    ok thx it will require a lil drilling and some rivits.the person who took it off left a few rivits in it.thx again for the repy

    I wouldn't run it too long with out the baffle, that is just me.
