Post 85 accord sedan fixer upper

well basically its a 1985 accord sedan.black and blue.all in running condition except for the intake and carburetor. The intake and carburetor both work just need to be installed.interior has no rips but is faded and stained(soda).Any suggestions on how i should re-do(prelude or other cars i could get nice seats from)?would be much appreciated.

welcome to the forums you should post some pics of your accord, as for seats you can get seats from a 83-87 prelude (2nd gen) and i am pretty sure they bolt in but im not 100% positive i have 3rd gen seats in my 84 but it takes alot of work and welding.

as everyone says prelude seats FTW!!!!

    thanks mkymonkey

Yeah supposedly they're FTW. and post pics...

If your carpet is stained, like mine is, so badly that they won't come out, you can find new carpet kits online that are molded for about $120. Not a bad price for a huge improvement in interior looks!

You'd be surprised what a cheap carpet/upholstery cleaner from Costco will do.

I read the guys in GRM always take the carpet out and take a power washer to it. I wish I'd tried that before putting in a new one (even if the new one looks sweet). I've also wondered whether dying the carpets is possible. I know they can do that with household carpets. Keep us updated and welcome.

I've done the pressure washing thing to the carpets in my 81, they turned out amazing! Blasted out all sorts of nasty mud! But the blue carpets in my 84, they didn't fare so well. They were most definitely beyond cleaning. But it can't hurt to give it a shot!
