LED illumination for the choke knob

I had to end up moving my choke knob up into the area of the radio blank out plate,I had a lighter plug there, but the cable wasn't long enough to reach the firewall on the choke cable. I ended up making a lexan disc that just fits into a recessed area on the plate, there is a metal washer that fits over this, leaving it's edges exposed. on the back side there is another metal washer, I drilled two holes in this, for a green led on each side, these fit through the plate, and sit against the lexan disc. hopefully if this works right, the edges of the lexan should glow showing a ring around the washer.

you can also see i had to make a new bracket for the fuel pressure gauge, standard brackets won't let it slide into the dash. i will take a picture of it lighted with the knob when i get the LEDs wired. you normally won't see the leds, because the washer sits over top of the lexan

Re: LED illumination for the choke knob

hmmm not as bright as I wanted, but bright enough to know it's lit, they had a very poor selection of leds and resistors. trying to sell out. I can go to a lower ohm resistor later if i want also.
