Re: My EF & AERODECK

to deal with the aerodeck, our main subject here: pictures will speak by themselves:
First of all: I find the "weak hose" which provoced the weak... the engine is now almost nude because of this... In fact, the place it is (under the pipe) is very unreacheable!

    upper engine gasket set:

    bought here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA...Q5fAccessories

    (hoping it'll be good)

then I still have much work to do..............

Tomisimo, I do need to clean that engine bay this summer!!!

markmdz89hatch I'm not sure to understand what you want. But:
-We do not have coupe (which are tragically lovely!!)
    -We do have Aerodeck's!!
-We do have Sedan... With fixed front headlight, no switching like these:

    Re: My EF & AERODECK

i want those damn pistons! I've never seen OEC though. I wonder if those are aftermarket replacement pistons because everything in the 80's was P** like PJ0, or PC7, PK4, but all A20's I've seen use PJ0.

Good luck on getting her running again. Keep us updated on the progress.

...oh, and no hatchbacks out there either.

Very nice cars.... Welcome and Keep it up.

May I ask what are those plug looking things on the front bumper below the headlights on the aerodeck?
We have fast cars but we have less time. We have wide screen tvs but narrower minds.

I believe they are headlight washers.

However, there were also corner poles available as an option on the aerodecks. Honestly I'd mess myself if that's what those are, but they are in an odd spot to be corners, so my guess is headlight sprayer/washers.

    Re: My EF & AERODECK

markmdz89hatch what do you mean by "pistons"????
and OEC??? [noob in english meanings...sorry...]

ESDEEZ, plugs in bumper are headlight sprayer/washers as markmdz89hatch said.

Maybe can I ask the question here: do you know a shop which proposes a kit of all hoses for ACCORD CA4-5? I'd like to change all of them if I find an opportunity to do so... from my radiator to my pipe, all of them are in a bad condition.

ThanX in advance for your answers! (even if they are negative!!)

    Re: My EF & AERODECK

yeah they definitely look like a higher compression ration because of the depth of the valve reliefs on them. Based on that, and looking at the lack of a deep dish as I'm use to seeing, these do look like a higher c/r.

I were always wondering, why our pistons have 4 valve dents in them while we only have 3 valves?

Because if you look at our heads, cylinders 1&2 have the exhaust valve on one side of the combustion chamber, and cylinders 3&4 have them on the other side of the combustion chamber. By using a piston casting with 4 reliefs, they are universal for all cylinders. If they were to cut only 3 reliefs, we'd have to have two different piston casting (or two machine programs to cut the reliefs). ...basically, it's done for cost savings and to make the install idiot proof (~ish).

Thanks Mark for clearing that out for me, I just never seen A20 head upside IRL. But yes that is really clever tho.

    News!

I'm selling my EF in order to finish the Aerodeck.

Then, I'm looking for lowering springs (H&R or eibach) and Tokico HP Shocks.
I'll also have to find some silents blocks to renew the frame (I'm not sure about this word)

If you have some links, do not hesitate!

What's this 'silent blocks' you're looking for? I'm losing something in translation. Pics? ...or can you describe?

    AERODECK From France

    BACK!
Hello everyone,a fter almost 4 years without moving, my 3G is back on road!!
This challenge have been very hard for many reasons but I didn't gave up.
5 years ago I had never done any works on a car and now... Everything changed!!

    Here we are:

    Fabulous!

Pieces were not adjusted, explaining the dragster noise.

    Everything works, it is marvellous.

The "new" engine is much better than previous one.
I throw away the A/C and the new engine perfectly works.
I change many hoses (all the big ones), and put a new Exedy Clutch st-1 which is perfect.

H&R + Tokico struts are about to be mounted.

    How it is now.

    But I have a problem.

I need to find a piece. So may you help me please.

Where can we find Front Sway Bar Bushing?

    Mine is dead.

    I found:
DaystarŪ - Sway Bar Bushings and Brackets
Energy Suspension 4.5189 Rear Sway Bar Bushings and End Links - 23MM

It is kind of important or I won't be able to drive legally...
Maybe you can give me the diameter of the sway bar??
My geez is 1986's old, so hard to find anything!

    Thank you in advance...

Try here. You'll have to measure your sway bar but if it's the stock 16mm bar like on a US car these will fit.

    Re: AERODECK From France

    ThX Apache07x.

I guess for our Accord the diameter is bigger. Maybe 20.5 mm. Unfortunately I can't measure it as I'm 200 km axay from my geez
    Indeed, look under:

Also, maybe anyone know where to find sidelights??
