im already happy with my 4.22 final drive off the integera...but it would be cool to have a 4.6 that would be super short gears...too bad our engines dont rev to 9k

and the diff is the weak link in all honda gearboxes, I know sure as hell i want to replace my diff with a mechanical lsd at some stage. maybe that will handle the power of the mighty b20a

I can attest to Honda having shitty Final Drives, My Final drive blew itself apart (why I won't drag race anymore). It also locked up the LSD, this was in AUG of 2007 In My 07 Civic.. Granted the car revs to 8600RPM but I was not dumping it at that, and at the time the car was nearly stock with only an intake so it's not like it was making an assload of power.

shit i only went thew one tranny and i was launching that fucker hard at the track at 5k and ran strong for ever till last year i had to replace it since my synchros went out i want to rebuild it. would be a good learning experience. whats the difference with the mugen and stock?

Jesus those are some short final drives. 4.6 is absolutely insane. Good for the track, not so good for the street. Depending on the track, I suppose.
