Not sure if anyone noticed but D2 now shows our application and a special on Honda Tech is running $795 plus $89.95 for a wholesale membership program that you have to sign up for so around $900 you can get them.

I wanted to see how Legend Master liked his setup but i have not seen any feedback over time. Im definately considering getting them but i want to see what comes out of this post.

    Well here it goes

The Coilovers are K-sports-whats funny is they have the same part numbers as D2 except its KS-H110-4,K-sport has NOT updated there site as of yet on these but they will soon

K-sports will run a bit cheaper I have been quoted $750 shipped -3% if I can get 10 or more people to buy, whether or not you guys want to go through with this its up to you-IF there's enough interest I will talk to the guy that's helping me out and we will get the ball rolling-really interesting they have the same part # though

I appreciate your efforts and i would like to see if anyone has personal experience with either of these setups? Any input is appreciated since im looking for a decent ride rather than get stuck with something i don't like.

man I'd be down for a set of these. My car needs lowering bad, and I want something better than tokicos and eibachs.

Im assuming the D2's are another line that they carry or vise versa? Im glad you posted that Vanilla Sky because if this is the case i might just bite the bullet and pay to have my Koni's re-done and get the ground controls.

No, d2's are a different 'brand' but they're all from the same coilover manufacturer.

AMR, function/form, d2, ksport and probably a couple others.

If there's no other options, I guess it's ok, but revalved konis will obliterate this stuff. These cheaper coils are undervalved (and needle valved, so you adjust compression and rebound at the same time) vs konis which (at their cheapest adj. level) are single adjustable (either comp or rebound; I think rebound).

I'd imagine Tokicos with coilovers would do alright, as long as you don't go with a very stiff spring.

tokicos are not ment to handle anything over like a 1 inch drop. i think one of mine is blown.but i would not mind paying 800 bucks for an adjustable suspension.

I think im leaning on doing my Koni's over even though its going to cost a lot plus the cost of the Ground Controls but i rode in 88Lxi68's car and he has this setup with a stiffer spring rate. I was just looking for a full bodied coil over but this seems to be my best option other than the down time and expense.

I know Tokicos aren't meant for anything more than a one inch drop. I'm not really into it for a drop, but for corner weighting.

    Re: New sus option finally

Under racecar circumstances yes these may not be the best coilovers-but I seriously don't think these company's would campaign there own racecars if they where dangerous to ride on,I have seen bilsteins and konis fall apart before on cars-so does that mean there quality sucks? no probably not

and why even compare them to high dollar setups-I bring my point up again-how many people are really going to shell out over $1k on struts/coilovers/springs on a car they probably $1k for?

    Link to koni's falling apart?

Most companies don't run off-the-shelf setups on their demo/racecars.

My brother in law has/had ksports on his Maxima. The car cornered great and rode pretty decent, but he has had to replace 2 due to them blowing out. 1 rear and 1 front. I guess there was a known problem on the rears. His car was not dumped and he probably had less then 10k on them. He has not put them back on his car and is thinking of going with an illumina and eibach setup.

Tokico's are better, but they aren't recommended for more than a 1.5 inch drop. If you want to lower that much you should probably do the top hat mod too.

    ...or not.

lxaccord --> Welcome to the board. If you search around, there's a bunch of threads where people ask this same question, and for the amount of threads you come up with, you'll probably get that many different answers too.

Here's the deal with that. Unless you're getting Eibach's, the ONLY springs you could safely put either the Toki's or GR-2's with are bone stockers. Even having said that, either of those struts will only work well with Eibachs in the rear, DEF not the front. Check out the stickied threads at the top of this (the suspension) sub-forum, there's all the specs, recommendations, and what should/shouldn't be paired with what.

yep. I honestly would go D2 because they're exactly the same thing, and if I'm not mistaken, the K-sports are made by D2. I guess it all comes down to if you would prefer purple or orange.

However, do not just order straight from a catalog. You can request these in specific rebound rate/spring rates.
