Igor has decided to keep all forums and all posts up on AF from 3geez. now should we delete those posts or leave them there? they are after all, OUR posts..
Also, just a little tid bit, this is what igor wrote after finding out we were leaving.. the feeling is mutual I must admit..
I have to say I am elated that I no longer have to deal with all the nonsense
since he doesnt want to deal wit us he doesnt have to deal wit our posts...........

Best thing would be if we could just move them.....but that would take A LOT of time, but maybe there is a program out there that could make it easy who knows. But for the existing posts I say we leave them until we can think of a way to get em'.

Given most of them were of the same stuff - right springs for my car, paint, body kits, Nate being Nate - I think we will fill it all back up in time. I would like to see some of Pheadux(?) stuff moved over here; his work with the carbed A20 and also intake manifold matching shouldn't be lost; it's FAQ material. Other than some other stuff, let Igor have it. We will just make more.

I do, however, endorse the idea of copying and storing the threads. I might be able to help with that... I'll see what I can work out with Marc...

I agree, if its possible to transfer some the important posts that gave some relevant info, to copy them over here, but you would almost have to go through like 30,000+ posts, unless someone has a simplier and better way to sift and search through all those posts.

This may be a stupid idea but what if there was a new section on the 3Geez page along with "Genera" and "Off Topic" that read, "OLD POST's" we can copy & paste to that. Just throw it all in there and sort it out later. Just an idea. That way whatever people "feel" is important can be placed in there and decide later what we want to use.
Jdub's idea has merit. Instead of trying to organize all the posts in to seperate forums just make an old data table and spider in the old posts into one big lump. Then the information in the could be searchable through the search text field.
But on the other hard is it worth the space? I mean people rarely bother to do a search before asking a question I think we could just leave the posts or delete them. If we leave them then we get the satisfaction of knowing we are eating up igor's diskspace (however small the space may be)

Please don't remove those post's. In my continuing efforts to help people you'd be erasing a ton of information that I may need to refer to in order to provide accurate information. I'm not talking about all the posts I did to help people. It's everyone else's post's on AF that have left a vast amount of usefull information that, I for one find very informative for myself and to provide to others. And you should realize I am a person that goes out of his way to help, so I would like my voice to weigh a little more on this topic.
I use the old board from time to time digging up usefull information. I fully surrport anything that preserves those AF post's.
if anything, i feel that the faq's and how-to's should be deleted from AF. those were created by 3Geezers and now igor has them. if igor is going to be a dick and keep those forums open and unaffiliated with 3Geez, he should at least have the decency to remove the information that we created long before AF ever entered the picture.
