Fried power lock unit.

Our car has power locks but they never worked so I checked the power lock unit and part of the circuit board is fried. I'm thinking about getting a new unit but could there be a short somewhere else in the lock system? I don't want to put a new unit in and have it get fried too.

i would test it with a jy part it frys again then you know theres a short


could have went the first time due to water or something
