i just recently took off my batery cables . i dont know why my new calbes wont work . Does the negative cable have to be grounded 2 times .? if so where at ?

if there was two you took off then yes you may have to replace both of em. Make sure you have a good ground scrap it a bit if you have to. Just replace em like you took em off.
