do 88-89 mounts fit on an 87 ? I've tried searching for about 40mints now and haven't found the answer.

i never had a problem doing it
"Weight is relative to power like time is relative to speed"
yeah, but with the front mount you have to take the one from the block as well as the one on the crossmember, cause (i'm not sure about usdm ones, but i think it's like this) the 88-89s have a iron mount on the block & the cross member mount has a long stud for the nut cause of the thick iron mount, where as the 86-87 ones just have a steel mount on the block & a short stud cross member mount. so the 86-87 crossmember mount wont work on the 88-89 engine block iron mount, but it should vice versa. the other mounts are all the same as eachother through the years

didn't know that about the front mounts.
but yeah, sides, dog-bone, rears, and bottom are all the same throughout the years, but the rear ones (both pieces) are different from manual to auto.

For 86-88 and 89 dx/lx all the mounts are all interchangeable. The front mounts on 89 lxi/sei have different mounts and brackets. At least, from what I remember.

Kind of confusing, but by the last few posts it starts to make sense.

Wouldn't technically engine mounts be suspension?![]()

Good deal. Sounds like a nice upgrade in durability.
I filled all my mounts except for the front and I keep waiting for it to break, but it never has. Must be my highly refined rev matching prowess (LOL).
Did you have to cut those tabs off the top to get it to fit in the front bracket?
