I have a stage two clutch in mine, it hooks up a hell of a lot better, its either in or out, no slipping. a week after a got teh clutch it ripped out my transmission because it grabbed too much. so i replaced the tranny, and it did it again. So now i am on my third tranny and it only has 42,000 miles, so it is holding up great. So be sure you have a strong tranny before you clutch yourself to the moon

jesus... a stage 2 eats trannies that badly? how much did you pay for your replacements?

is there a clutch that a little more durable than stock, with like 200hp holding power, that wont go through transmissions.. a compromise from the stage 2...

I had an ACT clutch dont remember what stage it was but on the lower end. It was an improvement over stock but my tranny is spent so i dont mess around with it. Plus its my winter/spare car and want to keep it going. I would definatly buy another ACT clutch but a higher stage. I had problems with Non-OEM clutches and them chattering and this one is fine.

i have a act stage 1 on my a20a. my tranny has about 110,000 on it. I still kick the shit out of it and my clutch. id say if you dont want to keep replacing trannys just get a stage 1.

what mods to you have to your car? turbo'ed, b-series or h22 and i would say get the stage 3//

if you are running a stock accord why in the hell would you need this kind of a clutch?

seems like the stage 2 is ripping out trannies. why go with 3?? i wouldnt think it would be any easieron your tranny...

no, its an a20a. i have a header custom ram air, and a reginded cam. did you do the 400-500 mile stop and go before you gave it fall engine power? thats what ACT and Cluctchmasters say to do.

This kinda mod, just go for a stage 1. The higher the stage, the harder it is to drive, the harder it is on your tranny, and you don't even need it!!!

I had a stage 1 ACT on my A20 and I never had any problems with slipping. That clutch would just grab and if there was to much grip it was the motor that would bogg down. Stage 1 all the way.

i would sugest a stage 2. they are the same as 1's except that they are Kevlar and they last 2wice as long... perfect for the street racer with a little extra HP. get the 2 and u will be happy with the extra long life and the extra holding power!

but do expect top have your mounts fucked after use for a while because it shakes the whole car. if you baby it and not slam it all the time like it do then your mounts should last longer.

what top mounts do you mean, the one in the strut tower near the timing belt and the dogbone between the engine and firewall? Anyways, with the clutches that keep busting trannys, is the hub solid or sprung? Ive heard that if it has a high-shock engagement clutch (ie, no springs, solid hub) it can snap parts in the gearboxes (and its not good for engines) and that the solid hub clutches are supposed to be really for race instead of daily driving... what have you heard?

    GET A FREAKIN STAGE 2!!!
OK??!? You hear that now?? It will give the same grabbing power as a stage 1, but is made of Kevlar, which will last longer. Give it the break-in period, and you should be fine. If you kill your tranny, you are not driving correctly.

STAGE 2 is the best option for a street car with few mods!
