Okay... I'm getting what I would describe a tapping noise only when I am accelerating. I can only hear it till around 2700rpm due to engine noise or it stops. Could this be my valves?

Not that I can tell. But starting it is a whole other issue. I think my starter is bad or there is a bad connection somewhere. It only knocks or taps when I am pushing the accelerator.

Just good old regular. I had thought about that. I'll have to try a higher grade whenever i go empty again. Just filled up last week so it could be a few more weeks before its empty again. my car makes a click when you touch the throttle at idle, its was pinging, If the gas doesnt fix it you can try retarding your ignition timing.
Sometimes cars just do it and it doesnt go away, take my car that used to be automatic for example, i cant get rid of the knock even tho its manual now.
Seems autos like to ping....
mine is a 5speed and like i was saying it only does it while driving. If I am sitting at idle and press the gas it doesn't do it. It will be a couple of weeks before I run out of gas.

its 6.49 a gal tho...i put some in.....all it did was just smooth out the upper revs...i guess i would only notice if i had turbo or high compression
