i know it's not uncommon over there to have curtains in the car,if you are on a long road trip in rual country,you just pull off and stay in the car. they have hostels and so on where you can stay for free. It's not uncommon for a group of guys to go take a cross country road trip and stay in the car. the sock smel must get horrible though
I would say it's rare to find a car with curtains over here, other than an mpv import from Japan, and we now have heaters so that a brick fireplace is no longer required to defrost the windscreen. I know that the Morris Minor Traveller was half timbered like an Elizabethan cottage, but we have progressed somewhat in the last 100yrs, we even have electric lights and indoor toilets in our houses!!!
hmm i had a bunch of friends in the eighties who went over there and bummed all the way across europe. had a great time and traveled in any way they could find too lived out of a back pack,
