    Re: Tires?

right now I'm running 215/45/16 on about a 2.5 inch drop. I don't rub at all in the front, but I had to roll my fenders in the back.

205/50/15 w/ 1.5" drop. No rub. BUT from what I've heard any more than a 2" drop you gotta roll the fenders in the back

    Re: Tires?

yep. Azenis. Next time I have to buy tires I will probably be getting the same thing. Maybe a little wider since I think I can fit it under there.

They're good tires. Super sticky, but don't grip worth shit in the snow. I tend to borrow my parents 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee when the snow hits though. So no worries there. Good thing they have an extra car now.

    Re: Tires?

if ur higher then 2.5 or even that then 60 series well idk b close. 50 series is just right anything above that have issues at the rear idk bout the front. but 25 cents laying flat hardly clears inbetween fender and tire. So i wouldnt recommend that geddy. If stock then what evers then. or 2.5 its cutting it close. And you would have to adjust the camber so if you where to go postive then it well touch for dam sure.

    Re: Tires?

1 sec. You MAY have to roll the fenders, then again, maybe not. It's not really a matter of the tire size. If you have 15's, in order to keep the outside diameter the same (or as close as possible) as stock, you'll need either 205/50/15's or 195/55/15's. The real determining factor is with the offset of the wheels you choose. Our cars have a relatively high (not extremely high) offset. If you went with a wheel with a 40 or 42mm offset, you should be able to lower it all you want and not scrub the fenders. If you go with 38, I can guarantee you'll be rolling the fenders, and even then, it's a crapshoot of whether or not you'll scrub. 35 or less, and you're pretty much out of luck. Be careful not to go with too high an offset though (Honda Fit is 45 or 48mm i think), as even though you'll be way away from the fenders, you'll probably end up clanking up against the top of your knuckle, or even hanging out on the calipers.

Rolling the fenders is pretty easy, just need to take your time otherwise it'll look like shit. With the car at stock height, or jacked up a bit, get yourself a wooden baseball bat, and put the end of it up into the wheel well just a few inches. Then push the bat handle toward the center of the wheel and pivot on the edge of the tire. Basically you're using the tire edge and circumference of the tire to gently roll the inner fender lip back.

warning. Please only do this if you need to. By doing this, you absolutely run the risk of rusting it out faster as the water tends to get trapped in there. What I've done in the past is use silicone caulking and fill the entire sections that's rolled up onto itself.

    Re: Tires?

    Two things.

    1) Offset depends on wheel width, and you should discuss one without the other. For honda fitment it doesn't matter so much because most of the wheels you'd be looking at are 6-7" wide, and you get those with ~40mm offset. I'm running +38 in the back of my 240, but it's on a 9.5" wide wheel, so it sticks out a helluva lot further.

1010tire has a good wheel offset calculator.

    2) I know lots of people roll fenders with bats (and newspaper stacks if your car is low enough) but if you can find access to a fender roller I highly suggest you get one. I split one with bobafett and zufer on here (even though they've seen it once in the last 1.5 years :-X ) and it makes everything so much nicer and greatly diminishes the chance of royally screwing it up.

    Highly recommended.
