    Unhappy Stuff in the mail

Hey guy just wanted to let all you know that i that crap ass Alpine deck yanked and what i saw with the wiring job IS NOT GOOD! So instead of just getting a f*****g wiring adapter to plug into the stock harness, these morons cut the harness out and wired it up directly. How humanity has survived this long is beyond comprehension. So after i did that went down to pull-a-part and yanked the harness out of a ccord that was there. (Get it A CCORD) hahahaha And i also got a factory tape deck, not much use for that though except that it has the wiring diagram on it! So that should make life a little easier for me. Oh and i also got my factory electrical manual today so i'm pretty stoked on that. Oh and i have yet to find any springs for this thing and i've tried Spax and King and Eibach and zippo zilch nada nothing. But i am determined if anything maybe the planets will align and POOF i find em'. Wishfull thinking!

    Until next time

There's a harness you can buy for the 2gee, that's how mine is wired up. A few companies make them. Yes, installers suck, and they hack the shit out of your wiring. I won't ever let some shop touch my stereo setup, or install an alarm.

You called Spax springs? They list the springs in their catalog last time I checked. And as far as what Geddy and Messy said, they tend to forget when they wander into the 2geez section.

I've seen DIY customers at my shop who have wired in the valet switch next to the warning light. ROFL. So when somebody steals your car, they can find the manual override lickety split. Another one of my favorites was a kid who wired in his brain box ABOVE the carpet, plainly visible to all potential thieves. People, People, People, Please Please PLEASE- If you have to Google "How To Install Car Audio/Security," then you probably should take it to a professional, cut your loses, eat ramen for 2 weeks and get it done right.

P.S. Yeah, I've checked the Metra catalog, there IS a harness for the 2g Accords, but it is soooo rare and everytime I try to order it, it's on backorder.

True, there are good installers out there, but there are definitely a rash of shitty ones. I've seen tons of botched Car Toys installs and it's REALLY bad at Circuit City and Best Buy. There's a small shop where I live, who I would probably trust. Seem to be smart guys in there.

Seen a few "twist and tape" jobs and wood screws holding amps down, and poor connections, shit like that from both the DIY and installer side. But learning to do it yourself is never bad. At least be able to look at it if an install does it and know that they did it right. So long as you have the common sense.

I wanted to buy an alarm from best buy originally, they refused to lt me buy the alarm, unless i let them install it. hahahahahahahahahaha. I told the guy if my money wasn't good enough for them, what he could do with the alarm. just what i need a mcdonalds minimum wage reject fucking with the wiring in my car. oh the best alarms have a coded valet switch, you can put it in plain sight, but if they don't know the code,it won't do shit.
