    oil leak

    hey guys i recently clean up the engin bay as it need'd it badly and it seems i have a oil leak from (i think) the head. its leaking just obove and all over were the a20a3 is stamped, do i have a warped head ? need new head gasket ? or just need the head bolts tentiond ?

    Check your distributor and valve cover gasket.

    yep what he said. It's probably the o-ring around the dizzy shaft. I'm pretty sure that NAPA still carries the part for like 50 cents or something like that. Autozone sadly does not.
    Lostforawhile:we have to pick on him he's CAH he spray painted himself into this corner with the accord.

    Classic symptom of a distributor leak. I chased this one around for a long time. Replace the o-ring and make sure the two bolts on top that clamp it down are tight. Could also be the valve cover gasket around the distributor, but check the distributor first.

    I'll bet you don't have a timing light, which you will need. It's probably a job for the shop in that case.

    Naw, just mark where the dizzy is before you take it off. Accurately!

    fixed it guys, the whole thing was only just a bit tigher then fingertight. i guess thats what u get buying someone else's project
