Basically, lowering your car at all with stock struts is a bad idea. Lots of people cut a little off the stock springs without blowing the struts up, but aftermarket springs (adjustable coilovers especially, since you'd normally get those to wind them way down) will blow the stockers up. Then your ride will be extremely bouncy and uncomfortable.

i wish the person i bought my third gen from would've understood that mentality of not slamming your car with stock shocks...something i guess that come natural to some, don't to others...![]()

Spend the money and get new struts, you can also do the tophat mod when you lower the car to maintain a smooth ride
