Go with a Holley regulator and a decent gauge. Don't cheap out otherwise you'll never get it setup accurately.

I assure you they exist. I have one on my car. Go to summitracing.com I'm pretty sure that's where I picked mine up.

There it is. As for the gauge, I can't remember what I have. I think it might be a holley as well.

    Re: Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator

summit racing has them, thats what i have. if you can find a standard holley regulator, just buy the low pressure rebuild kit, it's the same regulator with a different spring and check ball in it. 3 psi is not unusual for a carb, it's volume you need with a carb, not pressure. the holley goes down to 1.5 psi i think. I know the SU's are supposed to run on 2. all the fuel pump on a carb does is keep the fuel bowl filled. the fuel is under no pressure going into the metering system of the carb itself,it's all vaccume. thats a Mr. Gasket gauge, it's actually made out of metal, avoid the spectre one at all costs, bought one once, and when i took it out of the package, the plastic case broke in my hand. It went straight back.

Oh yeah one more thing. Don't buy a mr. gasket fuel pressure gauge. I work at Autozone, and they always come in fucked up. The gauges never reset to zero properly. I had one when I first did my Weber upgrade, and it literally exploded withing 5 minutes of being on the car.

Yeah the one I bought was total crap, and all the ones I've seen at work are always screwed up. Maybe the quality control just went down the tubes.

lol yes I do. I love that guy. Makes for some good conversations at work. After working at a parts store I am no longer surprised by most of the stupid stuff people do to their cars. You'd be surprised how many people don't know the difference between their low beams and high beams.

    Re: Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator

oh the gauge under my hood is for line pressure, the bell on the end of the regulator is for the norskog digital gauge, i have regulated fuel pressure right in front of me. these SU's don't like too high of a pressure,it can overcome the needle valve.

i can't remember where i saw it,but it caused a big uproar on one of the civic forums, some smart ass told a kid to do it, and he actually did it. I almost feel sorry for him, almost. he took off the air filter and put the end of the intake tube in a bucket of sand to "port the intake manifold" of course it destroyed the engine. .
