Everyone else's interior makes me so jealous. Mine looks like it came from the dump.
But my 8+ year old Panasonic deck still works great. Not sure if my original "dealer upgrade" tape deck met the shotgun, or got left on the highway for the semi's to deal with. All I know is I'd never go back.

Wow that takes me back about 8 years. The deck that came in my LX. Looks nice in there. Nobody will jack it like that! How's it sound? Mine sounded pretty good despite the factory speakers being blown to fuck.

Well the factory deck can't push the speakers, the main reason i got that was for the wiring diagram on it and to at least have radio radio radio in the meantime while i save for the ultra badass radio im gonna get for it. The speakers are from what i think is a Canadian company called Virtual Reality Sound Labs or VR3, they are part of Roadmaster. I have been getting their speakers for years and they have ALWAYS KICKED ASS!!!! They are low priced (20 bucks a pair), have good power handling(4" front-100w,6" rear-200w), and are 3-way even on the 4"!!! As a matter of fact the deck that im gonna get is a VR3 also. Its the everthing one would need hmmm... lets see CD, MP3, USB slot, SD card slot, DVD, GPS, touchscreen, 180w, remote control, Aux in, and the list goes on and on! Model number is VRVD640G i think if anyone wants to look it up. I also ordered off of Ebay a couple of days ago 2 door storage pockets that will give me CUPHOLDERS!!! They will fit perfectly and look cool as all hell when i get them in. Still no luck on the lowering springs, im begining to think i might have to START BRIBING YOU GUYS to help me hunt down some springs for this thing. Well until next time...

Did I pick up a Rancid reference in there?

As far as the lowering springs go man, we're always on the look out. But you really should call Spax about ordering a set. I don't think shipping will be too bad.

Hey, thats pretty good on the Rancid pickup 2ndgen! As far as the Spax springs i tried their website but i can't seem to get a link to any retailers. Is it the type thing that i actually got to call them up and order a set. Also how much is the drop and have you heard of anyone with them on and if so whats the drop and the ride quality like. Already got a a couple of rim & tire packages in mind but I kinda want to get the springs first and foremost. Well I guess until the next time...

I've only got the factory National AM/LW 1 speaker (mounted in the passenger door) system, Good job I'm not deaf in my left ear!! I dream of stereo, but think I will have trouble finding a suitable european FM system from back in the day to fit.

Hey accord83 just wanted to let you know that VR3 stereos have a selector switch that can switch between American FM and European FM they got decks for all price ranges so i hope that helps you with your tunes! Oh and since your in Great Britain do you know of a company called Spax springs I am desperately trying to get some springs for my 85 hatchie, so if theres anything you can find out for me that would be awesome.

    Thank,

    until next time

    Spax contact page:

    www.spax.co.uk/modern/contactus.php?SID=99332776286e9ca5c379b8c2c8632a16

pdf with details of Honda lowering springs... see page 18 of 52:

    http://www.spax.co.uk/pdf/SPAX-Lowering-Spring-Kits.pdf

I'm thinking of getting these for my '82 too. I've got stiffened shockers already to fit & these will complete the picture for me. I'm putting my car back on original wheels & the gap between the tyre and the arch is MASSIVE!! My suspension is shot anyway & the handling was always questionable.

Still got to get it running yet though...

    Re: System in (sort of)

Thanks for the links denhonda, so i e-mailed them and got a reply which was cool they refered me to an importer down in Florida called BAT Inc. So i called them up this morning and they said they would have to special order the springs from SPAX directly and that if they didn't work i could not return them. The guy i spoke to said that there might be some issues with weight differences between US and European Accords. So now i'm debating if i should order just order up a set from SPAX directly. I'm also wondering are there any US 2gee guys on the forum that have used these SPAX springs before on an 84 or 85 hatch. I suppose i should ask if any of you EU guys have used these springs on any hatchies over there too. I already know from there spec sheet that its supposed to be a 35 mm drop which if my calculations are correct equals out to 1.378 in for our standard. So if any of you have ANY additional info for me that would be awesome!!! Oh and my door pockets WITH cupholders should be in today which is cool. On a side note does any know if a 3gee accord console will work in my 2gee hatch ( I really want that pocket that goes under the middle of the dash). I'm having a hell of a time finding a 2gee center console!!!

I look forward to your replies.

    Thanks guys

    Until next time

    Re: System in (sort of)

You would be the first I know of to run the Spax springs. I don't think the weight difference will be enough to notice. I have the Eibachs on my car which are also a 1.3 inch drop, and it looks good. They also say that they work on Hatches and Sedans which also have weight differences. I am pretty sure even Honda used the same springs. So I wouldn't worry about it being a problem. Just get them and try it out!!

Why yes, yes it is blue... But it's sold. I'll keep my eyes peeled for another one. They're in high demand for sure.

    Re: System in (sort of)

Lets see its blue and my interior is blue its almost as if it was made for MY car! Hahahaha and its oh so close hmmmm.... hahaha wondering if i can plead with any of the aussie guys to nab some one piece headlights for my hatchie, just doing that would probably give me a couple more miles out of a gallon (aerodynamics being what they are and all) I'm kinda wondering if maybe i should start looking at all the springs on the accord they got at pull-a-part to see if i can run across some lowering springs that they left on there. Damn if people only knew how bad i want these parts always willing to pay top dollar for em, but i digress. Nabbed a couple of rear strut covers the other day which is cool for the fact that they are the one designed for hatch area storage cover which i wat to get a hold of that and the plastic that they used appears to be alot more robust than the run of the mill covers, probably because of the extra material and an additional fastening point i guess. Only thing is they are grey but i think i want to go black with them. I eventually want to go all black on the interior or a two tone blue/black theme, that would look pretty tight i think.

    well until i type again

I was thinking about the blue / black too. Kinda retro with the blue, but still kinda sweet with the black.

Ah god I've been looking for an older, simple, clean looking deck forever! Not one of these stupid ass decks with multi color LCDs playing videos and flashing all over the place while you're playing your music. They spend more time on gimickey bullshit than on just making the decks sound good. Fuckers!
