    Question body kits

Does anyone know of any kits from other gen accords that will fit on ours with little or no modifications? If so please post them cause i really want to get a kit but i don't want to have to do a lot of stuff to it just to get it to fit.

hey MSI, don't get all pissy... ...Flyguy, he's right, he's posted tons of threads with billions of posts on good donor cars. If you get a chance to look around, you should find them. but in ur defense (flyguy), not all of us spend every waking hour on this board like MSI. He's truly become a 3G guru in a matter of only a small # of weeks

I'm not being pissy. Sorry for commin off like that FlyGuy, but yea, In my spare time I'm allways measureing things. Checkin out different posibilities, and to make it easy for you, 4th Gen Accord will help ya out, only customizing you'll do is a lil trimming on the side skirts.

I havent measured the 4th Gen Accord tho, so I dont know that. There is a guy in here that posted some other dudes 3rd Gen Accord with a 4th Gen Accord Body Kit, he told everyone what the guy had to do to mount everything.

The 4th gen bumper is too short on the sides and the corners are too rounded. That is why you see 4th gen kits/bumpers on 3rd gens pushed in too far. It's so the wheel well lines match but then the corner of it tucks under the corner of the body which doesn't look very good. NO kit will fit without modification. If it was that easy, we'd have tons of guys with kits from other cars.

Side skirts are a different story though. Most (especially the ones that butt up to the bottom of the rocker panel and don't go up the fender) only need to be modified length wise.

Yasu, A guy just installed a Ground Designs 2000 Black Widow 1 on a 3rd Gen Accord from a 4th Gen Accord with no problems, and it looked AWSOME!!! I mean it was a Very impresive site. The bumper lines up within the perfect range. He did it with NO MODIFICATIONS except for a lil trimming on the skirts. I wish I could get a few Images between a 89 Accord LXi Coupe (Black) and a 89 Accord LXi Sedan (Black) cause after seing that BW1 body kit on that Sedan, it put more thoughts in my head which confused me more.

look at the picture real close and you can see that the corner of the bumper is almost directly above the corner marker. You can see lip under the grill that curves and disapears as it gets closer to the headlights. this is what Yasu is talking about when he says pushed in to meet the wheeel well.

    Here's another pic. Not 100% sure if it's a 4th gen bumper/kit but I wouldn't be surprised.

Thats not a 4th gen body kit, the guy with this accord (Shown Below) said he had to pull his fenders out a lil bit because the bumper was just a lil wider but it was no big deal, the picture you just displayed, the bumper is tucked inside the fenders, looks like the bumper needs to be pulled out, that picture you displayed Yasu is uglier then fuck on a 3rd gen...

I'm not a big fan of the rear bumper and side skirts, but its all from a 4th Gen Accord. The kit on that dark 3rd gen is different, look at the corner of the bumper and the markers on that one.......the side markers overlap the bumper, that dont happen on the blue car, maybe if the bumper was a lil smaller then it would, but I think that things fit just perfect.

If you cannot see from the 3rd Picture picture what I am talking about you need glasses.
And once again you need to quite arguing. Learn to say O.K. I see why you could say that Instead Of I am always right!!!!!!! Even when you prove me wrong I will prove your point and say I am right.

ok. I thank all them kits are phat and would die to have them cars.....but maybe I don't have an eye for detail? Whats that saying.....beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....I see how the bumper sticks out on that first pics but I think that car looks kinda hot. But then again I like my girls with big butts so maybe its just me.
In the end...it doesn't even matter.

How do you know its from an 88 Prelude? Cause to tell you the truth, its not....the 88 Prelude is wider then our car. It may be the same style that you had on your car. But its not the same size, Its from a car just a tad bit smaller then our accords. If it was from an 88 Prelude, he would have to put fender flares on the car to make it look right cause the sides of the bumper would stick out an inch on each side.
