    Question Front sway bar.

Im upgrading my suspension slowy...Got stock front bar with Energy suspension endlinks. I also have Vigor rear, as for the rear its awesome tight turns, not like it used to be back end would want to slide. But I was reading here on the board and the 88.89 accords have bigger front sway bars. Do you guys think i would benefit froms this...I think i would. When im turning now seems like my front end hugging the ground good but seems like it wants to roll over kinda lol.

Isn't making a FWD car too stiff in the front bad for understeer? Maybe replace all the balljoints and get polyurethane bushings first and see how that goes.

    Re: Front sway bar.

my cars a CA1 so its a base model with a small front swaybar and a even smaller rear one, when i did my rear disc swap i put the CA3 Si rear bar on. my front shocks are koni yellow on 1/2 way and rears are stock shocks with king lowering springs and all i got to say is it handles neutral to the days, i have bald tyres on the front and still cant find a corner that wont under or oversteer (not that im trying that hard as i dont wanna hurt my car)

i have the rear 88-89 bar in the back of my dx with the small dx one in the front...its good but it does not handle like my 22mm rear bar with my 24mm front ST bar.....i just got the bar because it came with poly bushings.

Um, are you getting oversteer at all? It wouldnt hurt i guess, but the effects might/prob will change the balance of the car.

    Re: Front sway bar.

lol.....IM going to get a 88/9 accord bar.. if a 91 accord is hallow theres no point...or i should just check..going to auto x next month.

    Stock 86-87
    F: 20.5mm (approx 13/16”), 0.69
    R carb: none
    R fuel injected: 12mm (approx 15/32"), 0.73

    Stock 88-89
    F: 22.5mm (approx 7/8"), 1.00
    R carb: none
    R fuel injected: 13mm (approx 1/2"), 1.00

Regradless the 88/89 accord bigger...So should make a difference eh. But im going to compare the.....Its just seems like the front end loose idk...not as stiff as the front.

Just to clear it out for me, Can you use 4G front bar? or rear? we didnt get any facelifts here, so the 86-87 all the way. to 89. only B20s came with facelift, but they are, you know what they are.. needle in the hay stack...

this a pic of frantiks front ST bar when we installed it

When Messy and I installed his rear 4th gen bar it was easy except for the part where you have to drill into the frame to install the sway bar brackets, I hated that part.

    Re: Front sway bar.

you know addco carries bars for our cars, i found one for cah for an 81,they go all the way to 74 on civics, and i'm pretty sure they have just about any accord bar you could want. they even had a rear bar for the 81. I mean these people carry deleorean sway bars.
