hell i say once a year we should do mod swaps
just so all the vets and some of the new guys on there way to being vets can have a go if they feel the need to

I was just thinking about should we have election's for mod's once a year? Here is my idea the admin pick who they think is qualified and they run against existing mod's let the members pick. This is just a idea what do you guy's think?

Take it easy, where's the fun in having 10 mods per section? I think it's kind of nice not having to worry about getting jumped for every insignificant violation of the rules, that's what makes this board so cool. Besides, you guys would probably start to quarrel on who got to do that as well.
I do think it would be nice to get rid of some of these retarded threads. It's such a pain going through all that crap every time you search.

the forum is fine, we don't need another shit load of mods. we don't have a lot to moderate.... the forums is not very large, and not very active, as far as forums go. we have TONS of mods per post as it is.
And like people already mentioned, this whole site is pretty much holding hands and singing songs compared to most places out there.
Now if we want to start flaming like HMT/HT/etc then by all means, i will get started right away, and we might want to get another mod on board to ban all the people i piss off... ;-)

I see you did not read the whole thing. What i said was to add ten temporary mod's to clean out all the worthless no good piece of crap thread's that's just wasting space on the site by doing this the everyday mod's can keep there attention here on this site after the ten temporary mod's where done they would go back to being member's.By the way if was up to me i would add two more mod's thats it no more.

I read, just exaggerating is all. I'm not arguing with you on the clean up, that's something that needs to be done. Only ones that can argue to that are more concerned with their post count than bettering the site. I wonder who the lucky two would be..

The search results order by date. Therefore, if your search is pulling up threads that are old, that's because nothing newer came up that was relevant to your search. So I really don't see what cleaning out old threads is going to accomplish. It's not going to stop the database errors, I hate to say.
