Coilovers will make your kyb's blow pretty quick.
They're oem replacements and not valved for stiff springs.
do the top-hat mod might help them last longer.
what kind of stuts should i get

Basically: there are no plug-and-play struts for our cars that will handle a significant drop.
There are full bodied coilover applications readily available now though. If you are willing to spend $700+ of course.
Don't do the "top-hat" mod.
i dunno..the top hat mod kinda sketches me out..
so which would be better to get kyb or tokicos....with a bout a two or two and a half inch drop....with colilovers
x2....I have kybs and there holding up still. but im changing those sometime lol. I have eibach 2.5 in front and 2.25 in back.

So there is really no difference between kyb and tokios
exactly. Both are rated at 10-15% stiffer than stock, but sold ONLY as an OEM replacement by both mfg's.
The top-hat mod will not help you if you're only going down 2-2.5 on shocks that are made for the 3G. More risk then benefit there. I have seen only maybe 2-4 members on this board that have done it safely and had good reason to do it. (Please guys, don't jump down my throat about this, I'm not trying to call anyone out here, just setting the record straight based on what I know. I'm not saying I'm a suspension guru, but IMO it's not worth the risk.)
As for lowering, IF I had no choice and had to run Toki's or GR-2's, the only spring I would run is an Eibach Sportline. ...and that would be only if I had NO other option. A nice compromise between cost and performance would be GR-2's in back, and Koni's or revalved Bill's up front on Eibach Sportlines. That would ride pretty good IMO, and wouldn't beat the sh!t out of you on daily driving.
