You need a carbide or titanium drill bit to go thru steel. Any parts store should have one.($2)

I Got the frickin plug in yey!

Alls I gotsa do now is wire it.

Stew: On the coil, does it spark when it gets voltage?

How do i wire this? + straight to the battery, - to the batter with a switch on it? So when i flick the swicth, the circuit is complete, and causes it to spark? :-/ Do i put the pos on the chassis..., help

Yes the coil sparks when it gets voltage!

This is where the relay comes into play. You ar not putting a hot circuit straight fom the battery to the coil and back to a switch, this is pretty dangerous.

Instead you use a standard 5 point relay with 12V battery power and a chassis ground, and from that relay to the coil and then the last 2 points go to a switch.

Think of it like this on each relay point:

    - 12V source
    - Ground
    - Power to coil
    - Pos to toggle switch
    - Neg to toggle switch

When you flip the switch the relay allows 12V past it and to the coil.

    Allright Stew, I gotsa problem.

Im getting no spark. Heres how i tried it: Pos is grounded to heat shield. I ran a wire from the neg to the neg on the bat. I know the coil werks, tested it in my car, i checked the sparkplug wire, its fine, and the sparkplug is brand new, gapped to about 50.

    Any suggestions?

youve heatshild is NOT a ground!

I would also recomend taking power off a switched power source not the battery so that it can flip on by accident when the car is shut off (your cigaret lighter should do the job).

Yea, im going to finish the wiring job when i get it to ignite...

could i be getting a weak spark cause its not grounded properly, thereby casuing it not to ignite?

    Prolly the exhaust

with a cat and a stock muffler not much unburned fuel is going to escape.

time for a new exhaust system sans cat.

Me thinks we were on at the same time :-p

What happens if i plug up the other exhaust tip? will the exhaust be more concentrated in the other tip?
