The catalytic copnverter is the biggest hagup for unburned fuel dude. Hot rods and Fast imports with em are all running very free flowing exhaust.

heh..... I had the Pos and Neg switched on the coil.

I flipped those around, wired up a switch... It sparks... but still no cigar.
My dad knows a guy that will remove my cat.

Do you think 60 is to large of a gap for the spark plug?

if you can see spark then 60 is fine.

you could maybe try a plug that protrudes father into the pipe.

I think you are gonna have to uncork that exhaust before you get flamage.

(1989se-i) did you say that you have the pos hooked up to the ground? should that go to power?

ya want flames? run the car rich and retard the timing. everytime you shift or let gas it will pop and spit flames. (this is a bad idea)

i told you in the first place that if you don't have an adjustable fpr or if you aren't running rich there is not enough left over fuel to burn a second time
In the end...it doesn't even matter.

Mine shoots blue flames when I hit the Nitrous cause its pilled way rich for safety......and I don't even Have a spark plug in my exhaust. They did get more noticeable when I removed the cat and my friends say its cool but I think its dangerous.
In the end...it doesn't even matter.

I really want to see how this works out. I have a feeling my car already shoots flames... I've heard loud noises come from my exhaust when i rev high and I've had people honk at me and other weird shit. I'll have to mount a camera back there or something to be sure though

I saw an old mustang with this once. I think what he said was that he had a switch that would kill the ignition temporarily. So he would rev it way up and hit that switch, causing pure unburned fuel to go out the exhaust. Doesn't sound too great for your car and it would definitley require a straight though exhaust (no cat, muffler). I guess you could put in a switch that would kill the power to your coil and get the same effect.

I'd love to see if this works. Does anyone know if the ractive stainless steel mufflers are glass packed? I'd like to know if i put a plug before my muffler if it will hurt it at all.

the reason he cant shoot flames is he doesnt have enough unburnt fuel. he has the SE-i for christs sake! the fuel injected model. he needs a carb model to pull this off.

this is how its really done.
get a small propane tank run a line to the exaust and put a spark at the end.this will ensure ignition and will not need a high voltage spark to ignite.dont anyone here watch monster garage?
