I have yet to play with my gear ratio's but i am sure there are gears out there that will swap. My B20A gears are to short for a boosted car so i want to work on that.

Not sure if I just missed it or what, but are those diffs a one-way or two-way limited slip?

On a side note. Any thoughts on who makes the best one-way clutch style limited slip? Nobody had better say Phantom Grip.

I'm interested in the Quaife, torsen, detroit truetrac etc.... diff for these cars. I do need to regear my box in the worst way though.

i was also thinking that but also the output shaft would have to match up the final drive...and no output shaft is 19 spine count like ours with a 212mm disk because the b series disk are 220mm with 24 spine count

Thanks for the input messy. I guess the optimum configuration (after about an hour playing with gear calculators and doing research) is 1-4 teg and 5th accord, with the teg final drive. Something we already knew lol. What a waste...

Yeah, yeah, just so we're clear -

A B series LSD will fit into an A20 series differential?

    REALLY?.........

There's all sorts of Automatics out there with LSDs and your saying there's nothing for our Accords.

why bother with an auto? I smoked mine running 17s in the 1/4... then i swapped to 5 speed and dropped over a second alone just by rocking the 5 speed. So a 5 speed swap is a must if your going for performance in this car

your best bet would be to contact a few lsd companies and ask them yourself. phantomgrip has put lsds in everything from vintage racecars to pt cruisers, so give them a call.

Re: LSD for 3rd gen Accord ............YES???

its because no one bothers with an auto when it comes to racing, as AccordEpicenter said, he dropped 1 second off his 1/4 which quite a bit.

best bet after talking to some LSD companies would be to try a automatic b series diff in your auto accord box, if its fits, find a b series auto box thats LSD and swap the diff.

auto LSD b series cars do exist (from japan)

Well I'm waiting for a reply from Phantom Grip, so lets see what they say.

Everybody gives up on an Auto, I'm not going to. This isn't going to be an all out 10sec. racer. I'm keeping it as a DD, but I would love it to handle more power when I need it to.

I've already got my Raybestos Stage-1 Frictions and Steels, along with a complete overhaul kit that I bought from, What Ever It Takes. My mechanic's just waiting for me to drop it off. While everything is apart I'd like to take the chance and put in an LSD if possible.

It should handle what I have planned for my car with no problems.

i personally would prefer a 5speed but props to you for not following everyones footsteps. if you want an auto go for it. you might have to blaze a couple trails; but in the end you'll have what YOU want. good luck, bud. keep us posted
