hey we finally made it,after getting completly lost and driving seven hours, Cathy and I are at roodoo2's house,we missed the dirt track races because of being lost, no pun intended ,but we made it. couple of pictures along the way,we found this state park by accident
never leave you car outside for eight years under a tree,we found this triumph that was parked here eight years ago, in perfect condition,this is it eight years later

and if i remember right that rusted ol' car was in that same spot too..

I got the Lx up and ran it down the road... very loud but moves good.
I have to build the exhaust a little more before I can drive it around here.. not like out in the country

This weekend was a big send off for that track and it would have been standing room only I think, besides the extreme four class was feature race only. I like to watch those in heats and practice runs ( some honda's giving rwd usdm a little humility)
Im glad you ran across highfalls because I actualy suggested a GA meet there once. Nice park. There is an animal reservation not even a mile or two from there with another park too.

anticipation of the visit forced me to get the LX up to schedule, I was doing lower end stuff and saving you some work but then when you didnt show up I started doing the work I saved for ya so I would have something to bitch about LOL, and wound up taking a test drive about ten minutes before you called to meet up at the dariy queen. I would have taken it but didnt feel like discussing a loud exhaust violation. LOL
I think havihg fellow members close and communicatiing helps motivate us with our projects.. ehh

oh yeah , and staying up to 2 am looking at antique hot rod books, the books and teh cars in them.. LOL
just made it home,i will load pictures in a while. US 1 all the way to Waycross then picked up, 82 to Tifton and through tifton to moultrie. most people forget how historic US 1 is. Runs all the way from Maine to Key west where it becomes A1A. We saw a ton of bikes on 75 on the way up, and plenty more heading down US1. if you ever have a chance to drive it,great route,i would take it over the interstate anyday. you can go around a lot of towns if you want,but it's best to take buisness 1 through the towns, you'll miss a lot if you don't. this is one of the oldest roads in the united states, everyone knows 66 but forgets about this one.

We stopped by the Altamaha river,but due to the nuke plant, you can no longer go and enjoy the river bank,If you do you will be shot. no kidding. don't you just love how companies can take over sections of river?
this was as close as I could get to enjoying the river itself.
my wife wanted this picture,she couldn't believe there was still a mechanical gas pump left that worked.
sad sight,I hate to see an old gas station die
it's that time of year fields are getting burned for spring
