    Brake Light Housing

i'll post pictures later tomorrow when the sun's out, but what would cause the brake light housing where the lower bulbs are for the brake lights to get melted away by the bulb on the outermost side of the housing? i mean...how the fuck do you melt that shit? especially if you're just running the standard OEM bulbs that are for the car...i'm perplexed by this situation and forced to get a new housing...damnit.

Did you get the sockets properly installed in the housing? I would expect the bulbs to get hot and if they are just laying against the housing, it would certainly melt things.

Check the bulbs and make sure they are the correct wattage.
