    The Great Junkyard Happy Trip

I was looking for an engine at the yard today when I happened upon this beauty.

I looked inside to find torn up leather seats.

Looked at the rear brakes and nearly pissed myself.

It was an SE-i!! I started yelling and shouting and running around the car celebrating my find when I nearly ran into the car next to it.

Another SE-i!!! The pads on the one were new, the rotors on the other were new. Unfortunately, all four rotors were seized so I have some work to do (edit: I meant that the calipers are seized, not the rotors). I got the full package to do rear discs and a good manual tranny to rebuild and swap. I just need the engine rebuild and I'm rolling in my dream car.

    Hooray!!!

Forgot all about the cupholders. Anyway, I think my gauge pack precludes my using them. I looked for the armrests. The one was gone and the other was destroyed and the wrong color. I'm okay without having them.

Oh yeah, I found a Tokico Blue lying under one of the Accords I looked at. It was leaking oil, so I just moved on. I'm pretty stoked with the stock suspension, so I don't feel any need to go messing really.

The whole trip cost $353 for the brakes, a tranny and a starter. I took the pads, rotors, cables, prop valve, all the nuts, clips and connectors. Basically, the whole rear disc enchilada.

I'll try to get back this next weekend to pull some more stuff, so if anyone is interested, let me know.

nice, go back and get at least the cables from the other car. those can come in handy. i remember that happened to me once, i saw three se-is sitting around the yard. but i still have a set of rear disks no one wants to buy sitting in my garage so those went crushy crushy.
