how much are they worth?

your best bet is to sell the crx and try and buy a first gen
but depending on your weather out there on the normal you might not find a good looking one
hell, i wouldnt mind doing body work. as long as it drove around i'd do body work on my days off. i have thought about selling, but that is my only transportation besides the wifes 83, and i dont think she would be down for me to take that to work everyday.
WORTH about the same depending on condition of the crx and if it is a sought after powerplant but as with anything old school or collector the value is up to how bad the customer wants it

ok, i need to know where i stand with my crx. here is the list of cons the car has going for itself. i have a feeling the car isn't worth much, you tell me.
1.windshield has crack
2.rack is bad
3. Honda cancer in quarter panels (one side is fiberglassed though)
4.front bumper is cracked
5.burns oil (piston rings)
6.driver side rocker is cancered
7.glove box is missing lock
ok, now the good,
items new not installed:
a.tie rod ends
b.all front ball joints
c.rotors
d.pads
e.driver axle
now the pros,
1.timing belt
2.rotor button
3.distributer cap
4. replaced spindle and wheel bearing on pass side
5.new driver caliber
6.greddy turbo kit minus blow off and intercooler and piping for intercooler
7.decent radio that holds a usb stick
8.a 91 polyurethane bodykit
9.euro taillight's
i know im repeating myself, but i just want to get everything straight. be brutally honest
I bet someone with a 1g Accord would trade you for a CRX. Kids usually get "stuck" with them after realizing there are no aftermarket parts and that they have CVCC instead of VTEC. Lets put it this way, if you had a 1g Accord in the same condition as the CRX mechanically, the CRX would be worth more in the marketplace. Now whether or not it's worth more to you is the question. But I'd bet you could sell the CRX and with the money buy a decent 1g Accord.
The 1g Accords are harder to find, and parts are harder to find, but IMO they're much more fun due to the uniqueness. I'd never trade my 1g for a CRX but most people don't value them as much.
This is how I would look at your car if I saw it on e-bay or something.
As a rule of thumb I've heard that any car that runs is worth $500, but there are always exceptions that prove the rule.
Windshield crack is a wash, I think all insurers will replace them under any policy.
Is the rack leaking or chewed up internally? All cancer is gonna hurt resale, kinda depends on how bad it is and whether the buyer a. cares and b. can do something about. Either way you limiting your buyer base.
Again with the front bumper, I assume this is part of the polyurethane bodykit? Since many buyers don't want bodykits to begin with, finding someone who wants a broken kit is gonna be even harder.
Burning oil: again, your buyer base is even further limited to someone who either doesn't care or who wants to rebuild/replace an engine in a car with cancer. Personally I can stand for one or the other, but not a lot of both.
As for the rockers, most people are weary of rotted out rockers since they can be on the more difficult side to repair (IMO). Glove box, ehh... the car is what 20 years old? That's not a factor if they want the car.
I don't give much value to uninstalled parts because if people want to do the work themselves they usually prefer to install the parts they want, at least with respect to rotors/pads. You might as well install that stuff, you have it and some buyers might expect those parts to be working anyway, or will be scared off buy such a huge repair list, even with the parts provided. I'd say the same thing about the timing belt, rotor button, and distributor cap. Again, if the car is running these aren't highlights to most people (although it does do away with any concerns about the timing belt)
The wheel bearing, spindle and caliper are a bit harder because people wouldn't be surprised about (one or two of) those problems.
The turbo is cool but I don't really understand what you have. Do you have a turbo minus the blow off, a turbo minus the blow off and intercooler, or a turbo minus the intercooler and minus the piping for the intercooler? Again my perspective here, but I'm always reluctant about half finished projects.
Radio is expected, and is also something that many buying this kind of car want to replace with their own anyway.
I mentioned the bodykit above.
Euro taillights: another matter of personal choice, I don't think they add or subtract since they can be replaced so easily.
In reality you've got tons of shit going on here. But I'm not a CRX guy so even though I wouldn't buy it, that might not say much. What I do know about CRX resale is that one of the biggest factors is what models it is, HF, SI etc. What engine does this have? And maybe I missed it, but I don't think you mentioned that. That said, it's always possible to find someone with tons of cash or time and know-how, or someone who doesn't give a shit. Sorry about the

id say the rex is worth about $1000-$1500.. cant really count the rust as an issure as im sure all the rexs in that aera have it.
and you can find a 1g or 2g sitting in someones backyard sometimes that someone wants gone for like $100-$200 bucks so just post a wanted sign up in town stateing that you are looking for 70s and early 80s hondas

yeah, the rack is bad. screeches as i turn wheel, has play in wheel as well. it does get me around though. i think i can just resin and cloth the bumper and do the same with the rust and primer it and be done with the body and be done with it. i think since this is a crx, someone will want to do a swap anyways. (its a dx btw) and i think ill just put on the stuff to make it more appealing. all this can be done in 1 day.
btw i found someone that might trade me an 80 accord!!! to be contuinued............
Sweet!! Let us know what happens!
Awesome ^_^ hope it works out!

ok, after dealing with replacing a head gaSKET, ive decided i dont like vacume lines!!! carbs have too many. if im correct, didnt honda switch over to fuel injection in 85? well i think i would like to have and 85-86 hatch. do you think this is going to be more readily available? i remember a girl having a silver one down the road, and when i decided to check it out, it was GONE! ok, ready for replies.
The only fuel injected 2g available in the US is the SEi. It was made in 85 and it was sedan only. Only came in brownish-maroon or grey. The 84-85 2nd gens have quite a bit different engine from the 82-83 models. It's not a totally different mount layout, but if you were looking for fuel injection, the easiest swap is the A20 with fuel injection. It bolts right into the 84-85 models. No point really messing with the ES3 from the SEi unless you just buy an SEi outright. MustardCat did the A20 swap in a 2g Accord, and from what I hear it's amazing. Better mileage, around 34mpg because of the torquier motor and a good amount of power.
i wanna see an a20a3 82-83! do it!!
but yeah pretty much u can make any car efi just by swaping the engine to a efi engine making a stand alone harness and swaping the fuel pump out
i ask you one questine though
does your state have smog checks? if it does not then you can just say fuck the vaccum lines and get a simple webber carb
