Help My Car Doesnt Accelerate

I am the proud owner of an 89 honda accord lx four door sudan automatic. the problem is is does accelerate very well and only goes like 70 on the freeway with the petal to the medal. If you guys have any idea on how to fix it or what the problem is or what i can try and do i would appricate it so much also if you are looking for a white 89 accord in great condition there is one being sold for eight hundred bucks so tell me and i will get u the info. But i really need help on my tranny

your help is here! the problem is it's an automatic, and not to mention a 20-year old automatic.

Does your motor bog or from a stop get up and go. have you done a good tune up? as in plugs,wires,cap/rotor/fuel filter. coolant flush. there. adjust the tranny cable on your auto make is shift alot better and smoother. I did that to my sis's 3g and just by doing that it help alot. maybe your tranny oil bad causing it to drag gears. If you just got this do the basics. Also its carb so you need clean adjust floats.
