As of now - 323,000 miles. I think these engines must be bulletproof. Even the original automatic gearbox lasted over 300,000 miles. How many cars can stand on that kind of durability?

I hit 211,000 miles coming home to Oklahoma City from a 4,000 mile roadtrip to California in my '89 LXi. I drove through 115 degree desert passing cars 15 years newer on the shoulder with the hood up, drove through the mountains of Yosemite and down the Pacific Coast Highway all in 7 days and I felt almost like i was driving a new car... Did I mention it is all original except for a new radiator?
198k miles, but I only own this car since a few months so all I did was changing oil, oilfilter and tires.
Former owner had al his maintenance and repairs done at a shop!
